Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
Care Dental College has established a well-structured Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) comprising a dedicated team committed to continuously enhancing the academic and administrative standards of the institution. The cell was formally constituted on 5th August 2024, in accordance with NAAC guidelines, with the primary goal of directing institutional initiatives and measures toward achieving academic excellence.
Objectives
To develop and implement quality benchmarks for the academic and administrative functions of the institution.
To promote a learner-centered environment that fosters quality education and holistic development.
To design and evaluate a feedback system for assessing institutional processes related to quality, involving inputs from students, parents, and other stakeholders.
To organize workshops and seminars focusing on themes related to quality enhancement and assurance.
To systematically document institutional activities that contribute to quality improvement.
To nurture and strengthen a culture of quality within the institution.
To prepare the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per NAAC norms and parameters.
Functions
The IQAC periodically reviews all academic activities including teaching–learning methodologies, clinical skill training, evaluation systems, and result analysis.
It provides recommendations to enhance patient care delivery, infection control measures, and sterilization standards.
The IQAC evaluates feedback reports pertaining to various academic and administrative activities within the institution.
The quality of screening and treatment services offered during community outreach programs is regularly assessed by the IQAC.
It works toward improving library resources and ensuring optimal utilization by both students and faculty.
The IQAC reviews the reports from institutional committees and provides suggestions to enhance performance in sports and cultural activities.
Recognizing that research is the backbone of higher education, the IQAC actively encourages a research-oriented mindset among students and faculty. It monitors the progress and outcomes of institutional research initiatives, evaluates faculty publications, and tracks grants from funding agencies.
The IQAC oversees the quality of academic programs conducted by the Medical and Dental Education Cell (MDEC) and organizes seminars/workshops on quality-related topics.
The preparedness of the institution for various accreditation’s is periodically reviewed and improved under the guidance of the IQAC.
The cell evaluates existing MoUs and provides recommendations for establishing new collaborations and partnerships.
It also monitors the maintenance and up gradation of institutional infrastructure to ensure a conducive learning and working environment.
